CBSE Class 12 results 2016: This year’s Mathematics paper was found tough by many students

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release Class 12 exam on May 23. The CBSE exams started from March 1 and concluded on April 22. This year, a total of 10,67,900 candidates have registered for the Class 12 exam as against 10,40,368 in 2015. Delhi (including foreign schools) and Panchkula have registered the highest number of candidates with Delhi on 2.9 lakh for class 10 and 2.7 lakh for Class 12 board.

Panchkula registered 2.2 lakh for class 10 and 1.7 for class 12.

This year’s Mathematics paper was found tough by many students. There were reports on paper leak too.

Arya, a Class 12 student, says, “I hope the CBSE gives grace marks to us.” Some students are also worried about their Maths paper marks. Ishaan Srivastava says, “The paper was tough and lengthy. I feel my overall percentage will go down if the evaluation is not lenient.”
The Government on March 15 favoured a probe into the reported leakage of a CBSE Class 12 examination paper and suggestions that the questions were rather difficult for the students, after members from several parties raised the issue in the Lok Sabha.

Union Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani on May 17 said the results of CBSE Board exams for Class 10 and 12 will be declared “on time” before the end of this month and, as per a decision taken earlier, state boards are also expected to declare their results by May 31.
However, the Union Human Resource Development Minister said, in a written reply to Lok Sabha said, “There have been newspaper reports on the issue during the Board exam of 2016. A committee of subject experts was constituted to enquire into this issue, and the committee concluded that there was no leakage of question paper,” Irani said.
